Aside from project-specific options, Save-N-Sync also has some options that are applied to itself whenever it is open and running. To view these options, go to the View menu and select Application Options. With the exception of the Clear all recent projects and paths button, no changes will be saved until the OK button is pressed.
Check for updates
This option configures the Save-N-Sync updater to run at startup based on a set interval. This options include On Every Start (every time the application is closed, then opened), Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Never (which disables automatic update checking).
Check Now
This button has the Save-N-Sync updater immediately check for any available updates.
Last check
This displays the time and date at which the Save-N-Sync updater last checked for updates.
Load last saved project at startup
Selecting this option will cause Save-N-Sync to automatically reopen the most recent project that you have either saved or opened. To view the most recent project, go to the File menu and open the Reopen menu. The item at the top of the menu is the most recently saved or opened project.
Show tray icon
Turning this option on will put the following Save-N-Sync icon down in the system tray:
Once available, Save-N-Sync will be hidden when minimized. In order to show the application again, right click on the tray icon in the system tray and select Show Save-N-Sync. The tray icon also makes it easy to exit Save-N-Sync and to view any messages that may be generated during an operation. When an operation is started, the Save-N-Sync logo will spin and change sizes. The option to stop an operation will also be made available from the tray icon menu when an operation is running.
Show application hints
Turning this option on causes Save-N-Sync to display summary popup messages when mousing over individual jobs in the job list.
Show warning before each run
Turning this option on causes Save-N-Sync to display a warning message before the start of any operation (both Run Now and Run Schedule operations), warning the user of potential changes to data, as well as possible deletion of data.
Clicking this button will clear all items from both the recently opened project list as well as the source and target recent paths list.
